Vada Pow: Ireland’s Indian Street Food Start-up

Ireland has its own home-grown Indian Street Food phenomenon!

Naveen Bachani is the high-energy driving force behind Vada Pow, a Bombay style street food company. He is a graduate of the Shannon College of Hotel Management.

But don’t think that their products fit the ‘curry’ stereotype. Ground spices, Fresh herbs, and Irish potatoes pack a flavour punch into their products. According to Vada Pow, they make “potato like you have never tasted it before”.

Options Include:

  1. Spiced Potato Cake
  2. Sweet Potato Burger
  3. Mumbai Pan Pulao
  4. Mumbai Veggie Samosas

All of these vegan products are made in Ireland and their ingredients are sourced from suppliers within Ireland.

Naveen quickly secured shelf space with big brands like Aldi, Supervalu, Lidl, Fresh Good Food Market, Eurospar, and Spar after his start-up. The brand also achieved significant media attention in India.

This is another home-grown vegan business that is reinforcing Ireland’s role as a leading trendsetter in the international vegan food scene. Opportunities to support local businesses we can be proud of is yet another reason it’s feels great to go vegan!
